How Boostra Fees Work
At Boostra, we believe that creators deserve maximum transparency when it comes to their earnings. We built our entire fee structure to be simple, predictable, and highly competitive compared to traditional creator platforms.
The 5% Creator Fee
Setting up an account, publishing your page, and managing your dashboard is 100% free forever. There are no mandatory monthly subscriptions attached.
Boostra only makes money when you make money. We apply a flat 5% platform fee to every successful tip received. This enables us to maintain our servers, provide customer support, and continue building world-class tools for our creators.
Payment Processing Fees
All online payments utilizing credit or debit cards incur a "Payment Processing Fee" dictated by the underlying bank networks (typically handled by Stripe). This is an unavoidable cost of securely moving digital money.
Many platforms deduct this processing fee directly from the creator's payout, secretly shrinking your earnings. Boostra does not do this. Instead, the payment processing fee is passed directly to the supporter during checkout. This means that if a supporter chooses to tip you £10, your gross amount before the 5% platform fee is the full £10. You do not absorb the bank's processing loss.
Example Calculation
If a supporter tips you exactly £10.00:
- Supporter pays (Tip + Processing):~£10.59
- Platform Fee (5% of £10):-£0.50
- Creator Earnings Added to Balance:£9.50
