By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Boostra is a platform designed to facilitate voluntary monetary gifts ("Boosts") from supporters to creators. Boostra provides the technology and infrastructure to facilitate these transfers but is not a party to any transactions between users.
Boostra charges a flat 5% platform fee on all Boosts to cover infrastructure and operations.
Supporters pay an additional processing fee at checkout, which is shown before payment is confirmed.
Payments are processed natively in the creator's default verified currency (GBP, USD, or EUR). Depending on your bank's location and your payment method, your card issuer may apply foreign exchange fees.
Creators may request withdrawals once their balance reaches the minimum threshold of £20, $20, or €20. Standard and instant payout fees are shown in the dashboard before the withdrawal is confirmed.
Boostra may offer a creator referral programme. Where active, eligible verified creators may earn a referral reward equal to 1% of each Boost received by a referred creator during that referred creator's first 12 months on the platform.
Referral rewards come out of Boostra's own 5% platform fee and do not increase the supporter's checkout total beyond the supporter fees shown at payment.
Referral rewards are only available where the referrer is eligible under Boostra's current programme rules, including verification status, an active connected payout account, and any anti-abuse or compliance checks we apply.
Boostra may withhold, reverse, adjust, or cancel referral rewards where we reasonably suspect self-referral, coordinated multi-account activity, fraudulent or artificial boosts, payment reversals, abuse of the referral system, or any breach of these Terms.
Boostra may update, suspend, or end the referral programme, including eligibility rules, reward percentages, or duration, at any time. Changes will apply prospectively unless a reversal or adjustment is required for fraud, abuse, error correction, legal reasons, or payment recovery.
All Boosts are voluntary support payments. Refunds are not automatic, but payment issues and refund requests may be reviewed by Boostra support on a case-by-case basis where a payment was made in error, duplicated, unauthorized, or otherwise requires investigation.
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, post defamatory, abusive, misleading, fraudulent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise prohibited content, or attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service. Use as a commercial payment gateway is strictly prohibited.
Boostra may investigate profile reports, restrict visibility, suspend accounts, remove content, or terminate access where we reasonably believe a profile or account breaches these Terms, applicable law, payment network rules, or platform safety standards.
We may reject, reclaim, disable, or remove usernames, slugs, display names, or other public-facing identifiers that are offensive, hateful, abusive, sexually explicit, misleading, impersonating, or that reference restricted adult-platform branding where we believe doing so is necessary to protect users and the platform.
Logged-in users may submit reports about creator profiles for suspected policy violations. By submitting a report, you confirm it is made in good faith. Frivolous, malicious, or abusive reporting may itself result in account action. We may retain report details, reporter identity, and moderation notes for security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
You may request deletion of your Boostra account through the account settings flow. We use an email confirmation link to verify deletion requests before permanently removing sign-in access and your public profile.
Account deletion may be restricted until outstanding balances, pending Stripe settlement amounts, or processing withdrawals are fully resolved. Financial, payout, fraud-prevention, moderation, and accounting records may be retained where required for legal, security, tax, audit, or compliance purposes, including in anonymised form where appropriate.
Usernames and profile slugs associated with deleted accounts may remain permanently reserved and unavailable for reuse in order to reduce impersonation, fraud, confusion, and abuse.
